In this course, Jake Bruton will detail what it takes for a house to meet or exceed levels of airtightness, where commonly missed areas are and how to address them. He will focus on how to incorporate these building practices in achieving air sealing and integrating them into standards for every build.
Jake Bruton is a builder and remodeler in Columbia, Missouri. As the owner of Aarow Building for more than a decade, Jake brings his education in art to energy-efficient, durable and architecturally significant homes. Growing up in construction positioned him for success when building because of the vast amount of time spent fixing and repairing previous methods of construction.
Jake is a weekly contributor to the BuildShowNetwork.com, a cohost of the Unbuild It Podcast, and a contributor to Fine Homebuilding and the Journal of Light Construction. As a speaker, he has presented at JLC Live, the Fine Homebuilding Summit and EEBA.
Jake is currently raising a family with his wife in Columbia, Missouri.
